Hey Jes - I keep seeing these strange flags for your side of the pond leading up to the match with the U.S. Like, they're mostly white with a red plus-sign across them. I thought your flag had a blue-background with a red and white asterisk type thing on top. Strange.
Ugh: It's the flag of England specifically instead of the UK flag. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland each have their own Soccer teams... for some reason.
Do you know, can talented Scots, Welshman etc. who want to get to the level England can in international play sign up with the Three Lions (if they don't mind exhibiting such egregious disloyalty)?

Yeah yeah, just was my dig at the UK for getting the opportunity to have four teams in the World Cup rather than one like everyone else, which it seems means a less strong than possible England squad gets in but no one else, at least lately.
Ugh, don't spoil things. It's not that long ago since the kingdoms & principitalities in the British Isles used to fight wars with each other. Playing football against each other in international competitions (a) kills fewer people and (b) is more fun to watch.
And after years and years of healthy Anyone But England not-warfare, about 38% of Scots actually don't care if England wins or loses this time... cite
You sure he's not Scottish? Scots get mad keen on football well early...

Weird. It's a kind of dragon-killing thing.

That pair of scissors will soon be within the kids reach. They grow fast.
