Colugo quoted (in part): "The prisoners at Guantanamo Bay get three squares a day, top medical care, a Muslim chaplain from the U.S. Navy and cigarettes and hugs from the Red Cross."

And don't forget those tropical breezes about which Senator Jeff Sessions enthused.

It must have been the hugs from the Red Cross workers — presumably female — that caused some of the detainees to hang themselves or go on hunger strikes.

If my response seems irrelevant or flippant, it's because I failed to pick up on the point you're trying to make by posting these quotes from Ken Layne.
