And yet, according to Mike Huckabee, GLBTs haven't passed the 'violence threshold' necessary to be considered a civil rights cause.

As we remember I would like to remind everyone of this
monumentally awesome thing
that happened out here in Oregon.

It may be 30 steps backward, but at least there's a step forward in there, too.

Carmen's Place, a shelter for transgendered young people in NYC, is behind on their rent and needs support: it's run by Father Louis Braxton, who was assaulted earlier this year for defending a young trans woman against a group of thugs.
