The notion that the League of the South is racist could only come from the mind of someone lacking any serious intellectual rigor. As a Hispanic I have attented a lecture put forth by the League and if there was any racism one has to ask why did they let me stay? As a Catholic why would an organization representing a region of the country mostly Protestant welcome a Hispanic Catholic?

The fact is the League represents the best in Jeffersonian republicanism not the pseudo-conservatism of the Lincolnian/Bush Republicanism. Charles Bird, you have much more homework to do before I for one can take you a third the way seriously.
