A WaPo link. Sure, it wasn't me (I'm quite the inconsequential blogger, these days), and sure, the post was originally a forward from somebody on her own hiatus (who can come back any time she likes), and sure, the author of the article apparently thinks that Obsidian Wings is the name of the blogger, not the blog... but, still. WaPo.
OK, I'm done now.
check your email...

Alas, that's not possible for at least three more hours.

Moe there is one message you should see asap...pertains to the debate...
I'll post it in a draft behind the scenes but not publish it.

Congrats guys, and to Katherine too. ObWi's doing well, huh? Still the best joint in town to debate without getting shouted down, and I think that's largely due to Moe's even-handed policing of comments. Kudos.

Tell us how many hits this gets you, will ya? I'm interested if it gets you more than, say, Atrios or Instapundit.

Saw it, Edward, thanks. Sounds like a plan and a half. :)

It's off the charts Ted...many from your site, so thanks for the trackbacks!!
Not sure we're anywhere near Instapundit level, but we were "Wednesday's top-ranked link in BlogPulse"

Now if you could only get a link into the print edition. . .

Moe, you know we have our political disagreements... *coff* but you also know, I hope, that however much I disagree with you politically (*suppressed growling*), I think you run one of the best blogs in the blogosphere. Shameless proxy bragging indeed - I just hope this doesn't have the effect on Obsidian Wings that an excellent review in the color supplement will have on one of those quiet little restaurants with excellent food that only the locals used to know about. I mean, on the one hand, you deserve that Michelin star... but...

Congrats to everybody who runs this excellent blog.

No. Really? Do tell. ;)
Seriously, thank you for the kind words, although I really do have to give most of the credit to my cobloggers.

Don't let him fool you folks, he runs this place like Murdoch runs Fox...and we wouldn't have it any other way. ;-)

Couldn't happen to a nicer blog. Hope this inspires Katherine to return. (Though there is nothing wrong Edward_, hilzoy, Moe, Sebastian, and von.)

More than the WaPo link, you might end up someone's life. Kudos.

moe,
I only hang out for the free hors doeurvres but you have put together quite a team of engaged and engaging thinkers and credit where credit is due.
As to the rest of the team: congratulations.
(I first came here to read a post by Katherine so unfortunately you guys may get more visitors like me now.)

Dan Froomkin, by the way, is the brother of Michael Froomkin who runs the excellent blog Discourse.net.
