President Bush will answer all the questions of a federal commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks, the White House spokesman said today, suggesting that the president will be more flexible in his approach to the commission.Commission members said late last month that President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney had placed strict limits on the private interviews they will grant to the commission, saying that they would meet only with the panel's top two officials and that Mr. Bush would submit to only a single hour of questioning.
What happened to steadfast leadership on the crucial Constitutional mandate of separation of powers?
I don't mean to unduly criticize President Bush for revising himself. And candidate Kerry does seem to have taken every side of virtually every issue over the last few years. But, ya know, let he who is without the flippery-flop cast the first flipperty-floppity stone.

Josh Marshall has the press briefing transcript up, the usual cluster f*ck. It certainly didn't sound like they were planning anything definitive, other than getting Scott to avoid answering a simple question with a straight answer.
