You know, I used to think that bloggers like Billmon or columnists like Paul Krugman were a tad shrill, even though my biggest personal gripe with the Bush League is their incoherent "tax cuts uber alles" policy.
But now that the IMF is saying the same thing, maybe those comparisons of the Bush League and Argentina aren't so far off.

Oh, please. Can we have another heaping helping of basso profundo orations on the obvious?
Alternatively, we could just caveat everything with:
The US economy affects the rest of the world.
The idea that we owe the rest of the world any more fiscal responsibility than we owe ourselves is, IMO, a little silly. Not shrill, though.
