Bad news: a tactical error involving the failure to set up a MLK day photo-op ahead of time got noted. Should it have been? Nope, but it was anyway. I have a lot of sympathy for people who hate the media, as I'm not too fond of it myself; I just wish that people would stop assuming that it's a liberal/conservative thing and entertain the possibility that it might just be a very sloppy, kind of pandering, fairly incompetent thing...
Good news: Former Presidential candidate George McGovern announced who he was endorsing. Dean supporters may now get that sigh of relief in, and I extend my condolences towards those backing Clark.

But of course, someone as gracious as McGovern would never endorse himself. It would be bad manners. I think this proves conclusively that Dean is McGovern. ;)

More important news via Calpundit: Clark just hired John Weaver, architect of the last big NH story (McCain's upset win).
Oh. And I heard Eagleton just endorsed Bush.

"I think this proves conclusively that Dean is McGovern."
So the old rumors about secret clone tanks were true, after all*. Well, it could have been worse: at least that means that the android gambit can be safely dismissed. :)

*Seriously, Dean is Dean, not McGovern, Mondale or the Easter Bunny. Which is not to say that he is necessarily going to do any better than the first two; we're going to have to see how it all plays out.

So, I guess that Clark's having a good news / bad news episode of his own, too. :)

PS: You should send the Eagleton/Bush endorsement thing to the Onion, harley: it's just the sort of thing that they'd play with. I say that with no disapproval, mind.

MattK, there is a fundamental flaw in your argument:
"But of course, someone as gracious as McGovern would never endorse himself. It would be bad manners. I think this proves conclusively that Dean is McGovern."
But Dean is not gracious and mannerly; he is filled with white hot, all consuming rage. And terribly, terribly rude.

Ah, I should have known better than to contend with Dean's vast army of cultish, fire-breathing minions. Stop, I say, I am being harrassed to death for merely stating an opinion! ;)
Seriously, Katherine, good luck tonight. The sincere grassroots efforts of the Dean supporters is one of the best things to come out of this primary season.
