Moe, weren't the last _three_ movies junk? (Actually, the one with the Ewoks was much better in France - whoever dubbed it had a sense of humor. Actually I haven't seen the last two.)

So I know what "Silfray Hraka" means in Rabbit - that makes me not a geek but a ...?

Me, I just love that the bloggers are "Bigwig", "Kehaar" and "Woundwort".

N.B., it seems to be a liberal blog. So you'd expect a post about President Bush sometime entitled 'Silflay hraka, /u embleer rah/!'

Yes, I am a geek.

Doug M.

Lucas running this franchise into the ground is purposeful I think. He has said that after III, he will never look back and be rid of star wars forever.

I think he subconsciouly has been sabotaging these prequel movies because if they were actually good, people would beg for the final 3 in the series, which Lucas has no intention/want of doing.

It all the Lucas Conspiracy of Self-Destruction Theory.

;-)

Well, he may be trying to run Star Wars into the ground, but he's gotta film something at the Presidio....

The thing that bothers me? I really liked the series, maybe not all the bits and pieces, Manequin Skywalker comes to mind, but I can't remember if I've seen 2 or 3 prequels, and honsestly, if its 2 well, then I can wait even longer for the 3rd. Can't remember if I've even seen already the one that I'm supposed to be waiting with baited breath for....that's just harsh...

Return of the King? Can't wait for that, will definitely be buying the DVD set etc. etc.

Effects for show, story for dough.

Moe, two words: Don't go.

Seriously, my position on giving Lucas more money for this crud roughly parallel's Spc67's on funding for the NEA. I should probably take into account that money spent on the Star Wars franchise is not compulsory, but because of (insert logical explanation here to cover blind disgust for SW Episodes 1-3), I can't.

This is from someone who saw the first one (fourth one? whatever) six times in the theaters (including once at a drive-in in a VW camper--that dates it)... I too was there at the beginning. Party's long over. Anyone holding out hope is like that Faulkner character, sleeping for decades next to the corpse of her groom.

"Moe, two words: Don't go."

Unfortunately, it's like a social requirement or something. :(

I will not see it in the theater. The first one you could convince yourself would have been okay except for &%*^^&&*^ Jar Jar, and I liked Ewan McGregor (perhaps just as eye candy, I don't usually just go for eye candy but we all have our weaknesses)--so I convinced myself the second would be good. But it was nearly unwatchable. Yoda's little hovercraft was cute. That was the only redeeming feature. The dialogue. The acting. It was SO bad.

I'm looking forward to Return of the King and what Cuaron does with the third Harry Potter (which is the only one of those books I will defend on merit grounds as opposed to just fun grounds.)

In that case, I'll say a little prayer for you. :)

So Jar-Jar is still floating around? Shoot, I'd almost buy a ticket if someone could guarantee I would see that, that... that get vaporized.

"That was the only redeeming feature. The dialogue. The acting. It was SO bad."

Don't get me started on the tactics. Thank God LotR had somebody who knew how to choreograph battles properly.

Am I the only person out there who will be happy to see:

No, you're not. I am so looking forward to all of the above.
