if you've read about the horrible events in Mosul, you'll need it. So, here you go, from Aunty Beeb:
"Mr Blair, who is said to be a big fan of the show, recorded his dialogue in April for an episode in which Homer Simpson meets him in London.
Actor Sir Ian McKellen and Harry Potter author JK Rowling appear alongside in the show, called The Regina Monologues."
The Regina Monologues?
It sounds like it already aired. How did I miss this?
Afraid so, Katherine. Apparently it aired Stateside on Sunday. Here in the UK I'll have to wait until January to see it, but at least I haven't missed it. A-ha ha ha.
Sorry.

Two interesting facts:
-In the early days of my sketch comedy group, we performed a sketch I wrote called "The Regina Monologues." It was a parody of the Vagina Monologues which substituted the experience of being from Regina, Saskatchewan for the experience of being a woman. Darn the Simpsons and their appropriation of my clever pun!
-Blair is not the first sitting world leader to appear on an animated Fox series; Al Gore appeared in a 2000 episode of "Futurama."

Yer kiddin', Seth. I swear I saw that play in Toronto last summer. (OK, I wouldn't swear, since I don't quite remember the name, but it was all about the experience of being from Regina. Funny, too.)
