...but I'll take the karma hit to show a little schradenfreude about the lovely news that Ted "Terror Widows" Rall's strips got tossed from the NYT's website. You can read all the happy details at Rall's own site - just turn your BS detectors all the way down first, because when I say Moonbat, I mean it. And don't think that being a Democrat or a Lefty will help, either: this guy's out somewhere around Pluto.
At any rate, he's in the grips of This Is All The VRWC's Fault... which is funny, because if he was going to be a particular target I'm sure I would have heard about it beforehand. In fact, if it turns out that he was actually the subject of a warblogging exercise and nobody told me, well, let me tell you, I am not going to be happy about that. I don't care if I hang with the centrists, I expect to keep informed about when and where stuff is going down, oh yes...
(Via Michele, although Treacher is equally amused)

PS: I'd like to note that I've gotten off of my sickbed to write this. Where, oh where, have my cobloggers gone? Grumble grumble grumble...
Only kidding, folks: everybody's probably just busy, I'm sure.
I'd consider the occasional "Terror Widows" acceptable collateral damage for a satirist (I actually agree that the special 9/11 grief went too far - where's the state compensation for women whose children get run over?) but every week was too much. I stopped reading him years ago - he wasn't funny, he didn't teach me anything - the strip just made me feel filthy.

Hope you feel better soon Moe.

oops - ditto. Lots of bloggers have been complaining of illness lately - is this some east coast thing, or are you all partying together?

moe, you didn't go to boskone, did you? (everybody seems to have come down sick there...)

I can't believe you people read Ted Ralls. I thought I was the leftmost guy here, and I read him once. Period.
Get well, Moe. Maybe before me, cause I've been carrying a little something for weeks. Chicken-flu or lemur-flu or something. And I think you missed a great fight at Tac's place.

"a great fight at Tac's place." Are you referring to Timmy needling Trickster amusingly, and Trickster peevishly failing to ignore him?

Good riddance. Hope they replace his slot with Tom Tomorrow. Similar style, much funnier, and sane.
Posted by: carpeicthus | March 04, 2004 at 10:43 PM
damn, I meant "unamusingly" above.
Tom Tomorrow doesn't do much for me. How about Ann Telnaes?

What is your cob and why does it need to be logged? If it makes you feel any better, I hope you find your cobloggers soon.
Hope you're not too sick to watch TV. What better time to catch up on old Bevery Hilbilly reruns.

Ted Rall rants like a lunatic, but it's only within that loose cannon realm that certain ideas were made clear to me. I sometimes thought he crossed over into moonbat territory, but in general, I think his voice is valid.

I think his voice is valid.
Whatever that means. What he has to say, sadly, rarely is.

If he could draw, I'd care more.
Now Ben Sargent. . that fellow has skills.
