By the way, one political aspect of this that certainly helps the Democrats: Boston now runs a distant second, at best, in the "gayest city in the US of A" sweepstakes. For a while there yesterday it looked like we might fall to fourth, after Chicago and wherever the clerk's office in Sandoval County New Mexico is.
