Wow. I like Dean. I will vote for Dean. But some of the stuff is just creepy.
It sounds like he's one psychotic break away from 6-foot-high stacks of newspapers all over his cat-pee-stained apartment.

It sounds like he's a guy who appreciates the virtues of a balanced budget.

I found the rest of the interview pretty endearing. They come off as a little naive, and generally sound like two people you'd meet at a PTA meeting. There's also a funny "The Doctors Dean" moment.....
Argh. I realized today that the odds that Dean wins both the nomination and the general election are 15-20% at best. I will be so sad if/when he loses.
Oh well. Win or lose it's been a hell of a campaign. Better to have believed in a candidate and lost then never to have believed in a candidate at all, or something.

Jeez, sounds like a guy to make a Republican proud. Doesn't waste money. Watches his checkbook. Doesn't believe in handouts. Is on record saying:
"If welfare recipients had an self-esteem, they'd be working"

Nice to read a friendly article for a change...

Nobody doesn't like Howard Dean.
Republicans and comedians love him because he's an easy target, most Democrats like him 'cause he's got soul, and his fans love him 'cause they think he's GOIN' TO CALIFORNIA, like Led Zeppelin. (Even if in reality, he's just goin' to Carolina in his mind, like James Taylor.)

What Republicans are you thinking about? No Republican in recent memory has had any interest in watching his checkbook. Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II have piled on the deficits; as Dick Cheney told Paul O'Neill before giving him the hook for opposing tax cuts we can't afford: "Reagan proved deficits don't matter." Who's watching a checkbook?
