Oh, NOW I remember...

Folks, I'm aware that most of you probably think that they're schmucks, too - but trust me on this one, you don't want to be standing next to a PETA activist when he or she hands out this to some kid. Unless you happen to enjoy the sight of an enraged soccer mom beating a animal rights fanatic like he was a redheaded stepchild, which I understand is actually not all that uncommon a fetish (and easily obtainable in certain sections of Nevada for a fairly reasonable price).

The pic's from here* (hi, Michele! Love the blog) via here; Eye on the Left pointed it out to me in the first place. And they all had comments about it: I'll just add a hearty "Ye Gods and Little Fishes" to the chorus...

Moe

*Actually, you can get it directly from the main PETA site - they're actually proud of this one - but, really, I'd rather give Michele the traffic.

As one of the 2% of Americans with red hair, I object to your use of that colorist slur...anyone who's been stupid enough to actually beat a redhead knows that, without hesitation, we beat back twice as hard...stepparent or not...something of a bullheaded streak in the genetics, I guess.

Edward, the whole point of the saying is that since you do have the Devil in you, the window for beating you down was when you were still a wee one!

Merry Christmas.

PETA falls into the category of what I call "Peter, Paul and Mary" liberals... people so annoying that it almost, almost, makes me want to become a Republican.

i think the bunny on the front of the comic book is pretty cute. and i like how this "mommy" character appears to handle her work with such loving care and determination. that shows you somethin.

and people say there is a decline in the quality of funny books these days. "fooey," i say to these people. keep up the good work, PETA!

Oh...

hmmm...thanks for the clarification, Mike P

Guess that explains why in all my childhood photos my fists are clenched and my cheeks are red.

Merry Christmas to you as well!

"Peter, Paul and Mary" liberals...

My new favorite term! Deadly accurate.

Enjoy? Heck, I'd pay money.

which I understand is actually not all that uncommon a fetish (and easily obtainable in certain sections of Nevada for a fairly reasonable price).

Dude, you need to check out the ads in the City Paper -- it's available in the Baltimore / DC area for negotiable prices, too. :)

PETA's antics are the surest proof that COINTELPRO infiltration is back. :-p

"PETA's antics are the surest proof that COINTELPRO infiltration is back. :-p"

Normally something like that would just make me roll my eyes... but, yeah, I can see that. :)
